In this role, you will:
- Support the day-to-day operations of Babcock Canada’s Devonshire Warehouse in support of the Victoria In Service Support Contract (VISSC).
- Produce accurate and properly prepared kits for production teams.
- Provide optimal customer service to internal and external customers.
- Take on an active role in warehouse continuous improvement initiatives that support the business needs and to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Conduct work in a manner that supports a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the warehouse.
- Support the WestCoast Warehouse Manager to ensure all material kitting processes and procedures for responsible areas conform to Babcock standards.
- Manage various assigned activities including kitting, stock taking, Inventory checks, and inspections.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary and reasonable to support the business.
The ideal candidate brings:
- Two (2) years experience working in a warehouse/inventory operations environment.
- Experience in material handling and manual equipment operation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with subject matter experts, colleagues, and contractors.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- You are skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- You are experienced with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Experience with Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS) would be considered an asset.
- Forklift experience, both sit-down and narrow aisle.
- Valid B.C. drivers License (class 5)
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
- You hold a High School Diploma or equivalent (College or University diploma an asset).
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
