In this role, you will:

Assist as required with the day-to-day Warehousing activities in support of the Victoria In-Service Support Contract (VISSC). Duties include, but not limited to;

• Material management, including handling, shipping, issuing, receiving and warehousing
• Operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as propane and electric fork lifts, and hand-held power tool operation
• Inventory management, including annual stock taking and verification
• Work load planning
• Data entry and report generation in Babcock’s ERP System
• Organizing storage areas and participate in stock taking
• Maintaining a clean, organized and safe environment by complying with relevant company policies and procedures
• Other duties as necessary

The ideal candidate brings:

• You have at least one (1) year of experience in a warehouse environment; experience in DND supply chain operations would be considered an asset
• You have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Capable of manually lifting up to 50lbs
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite; Word, Excel and Outlook.
• You have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• You have the ability to prioritize and work well in a fast paced environment
• Inventor Control experience
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) (an asset)
• Experience with the operation of material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. (an asset)
• You must be flexible for work hours; the successful individual may be required to work early mornings, late afternoons.
• Workplace Hazardous Management Information Systems (WHMIS) (an asset, annual training is provided)
• You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
