Expected Salary: $63,055 to $94,583

In this role, you will:

 

Be responsible for the procurement of inventory for Babcock’s rotary wing operations. This will include all specialized and non-specialized aviation parts, and materials and equipment required and utilized in the maintenance of AW 169 rotary wing aircraft operated in support of BC Emergency Health Services operations.  This includes, but is not limited to:

 

  • Sourcing parts, materials and tooling for aircraft as outlined in the Maintenance Policy Manual ensuring appropriate parts documentation and use of appropriately rated Aircraft Maintenance Organizations (AMOs).
  • Engaging proactively with suppliers to develop and manage key relationships including supplier performance, risk, escalation, and improvement initiatives.
  • Liaising with suppliers for timeline of repairs and parts delivery, monitoring parts requests, and communicating any delays.
  • Monitoring and maintaining inventory stock levels.
  • Submitting new suppliers for inclusion in the Authorized Supplier List.
  • Creating Purchase and Repair Orders in CAMP, the Maintenance Tracking Software.
  • Working with the Procurement team to create Industrial and Financial System (IFS) Purchase Orders.
  • Developing and maintaining a close working relationship with Aviation customers and stakeholders.
  • Preparing appropriate reporting of KPIs, parts and materials, as necessary to support the business unit.
  • Reporting all safety hazards or concerns through the Safety Management System (SMS) system.
  • Participating in all training as assigned including but not limited to Human Factors, Ladder & Lifting, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods.

 

As our ideal candidate you bring the following:

 

  • You hold a high school diploma or equivalent (a degree/diploma in a related field would be considered an asset).
  • 5 years or more experience in the Aviation industry with an understanding of the Canadian Aviation Regulations and parts certifications.
  • You have experience in the following areas:
    • Aviation Stores experience or oversight
    • Aviation Purchasing experience or oversight
    • WHMIS training an asset (annual training is provided)
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with subject matter experts, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • You are a positive, resilient, and focused individual.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • You are eligible for a Reliability Clearance.
