Expected Salary: $57,508 - $71,885

 

To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

In this role, you will:

 

  • Arrange security access to business sites as required to include coordinating the provision of shipyard access and safety training with Victoria Shipyards Ltd and Fleet Maintenance Facilities, coordinating with Babcock HSE as required.
  • Assist in organizing, scheduling and delivering general security training and security awareness as required for ongoing security education and awareness for Babcock personnel and subcontractors
  • Assist in the onboarding of new employees, including foreign hire processes and subcontractors
  • Assist in the management and distribution of facility access cards (Kantech) and PIN codes
  • Tracking of site access systems for various locations
  • Prepare communications for the Manager, Security and Information Assurance for further dissemination to Babcock Canada employees to communicate relevant data pertaining to Security, Information Assurance, and Emergency events
  • Participate in meetings regarding security analytics
  • Prepare applications and annual Defence Resource Management Information System and Defence Wide Area Network renewals, DRMIS training and DWAN asset distribution
  • Act as an Assistant Company Security Officer within the Contract Security Program to include administering new hire applications for clearances, upgrades, assisting with briefings and coordinating inspections
  • Act as a Designated Official with the Controlled Goods Program
  • Coordinate Requests For Visits to controlled sites for Babcock to include assisting with Annual Request for Visit to Department of National Defence sites and other locations
  • Assist with Security Requirements Check List training, submissions and processes between Babcock subcontract management and Public Services & Procurement Canada.
  • SIA – (Security and Information Assurance) a requirement of the CSP-Annex A, Section 4
  • Coordinating Security Sweeps
  • Monitoring Controlled Goods Annual training and conducting Controlled Goods reference checks
  • Support internal security information processes, to include DocuSign Engineering Task approvals, Internal Routing Card Deliverables, Corporate Government Risk, Problem Activity Report’s, Remedy Requests, UK IT Build confirmations
  • Other duties as assigned

 

The ideal candidate brings: 

 

  • A minimum of 3 years in security administration or general administration
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of physical security systems. (Card access, CCTV, alarm systems)
  • Strong English writing skills, experience writing security and/or emergency incident reports would be considered an asset
  • Basic knowledge of emergency management, conducting security related investigations would be considered an asset
  • Experience with Project Management and/or qualifications would be considered an asset
  • Familiarity with the requirements and processes of the government of Canada Contract Security Program would be considered an asset
  • Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
