Expected Salary: $51,888 - $64,859

 

To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

In this role, you will:

  • Arrange security access to business sites as required to include coordinating the provision of shipyard access and safety training with Victoria Shipyards Ltd.
  • Organize, schedule, and assist in the delivery of general security training as required
  • Assist in the onboarding of new employees and subcontractors
  • Assist in the creation, recording, and distribution of facility access cards
  • Program access card system (Kantech)
  • Enter, track, remove alarm PIN codes – all locations
  • Assist with the tracking of building access system for various locations
  • Monitor and distribute as required communications to the general security mailbox
  • Develop and distribute communications that convey relevant information related to Security, Information Assurance, and Emergency events.
  • Support the development of Babcock Canada security policies and procedures
  • Organize and arrange for security meetings with management and Information Asset Owners - assist with the preparation quarterly presentations
  • Participate in meetings regarding security analytics
  • Assist with new and annual Defence Resource Management Information System and Defence Wide Area Network access for Babcock personnel
  • Assist with briefings as an Alternate Company Security Officer within the Contract Security Program
  • Assist with Annual Request for Visit to Department of National Defence sites, Victoria Shipyards Ltd and other locations
  • Assist in facilitating ongoing security education and awareness to Babcock personnel
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

The ideal candidate brings:

 

 

  • 1-3 years administrative experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with personnel security is an asset
  • Project Management experience and/or qualifications is an asset
  • Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
