Expected Salary $67,021 to $83,776

 

To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

In this role, you will:

 

  • Support the design, evaluation, implementation and maintenance of compensation processes aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide advice to human resources team members on job evaluation, compensation, and pay equity.
  • Analyze data trends to identify risks and opportunities in workforce composition and pay structures.
  • Lead or contribute to initiatives that streamline compensation processes such as tools and templates for reporting and leadership briefings.
  • Maintain tools, templates, and documentation to ensure consistency in compensation practices.
  • Partner with senior human resources leadership to complete organizational compensation review processes and associated communication strategy.
  • Participate in market pricing activities, including compensation surveys and industry research.
  • Stay up to date on compensation trends, legislative changes, and industry best practices, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for senior human resources leadership.
  • Maintain benchmark data to support ongoing project work.
  • Provide insights on pay transparency, pay equity legislation, and compensation compliance requirements.
  • Monitor alignment of internal compensation data with federal and provincial reporting requirements related to pay equity and pay transparency.
  • Complete reporting requirements for federal and provincial legislation related to pay equity and pay transparency.
  • Support the development of compensation communication materials and frameworks.

 

The ideal candidate brings:

 

  • At least five years of relevant experience in compensation or job evaluation, using both the classification and point factor methods.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Compensation Certified professional (CCP) considered a strong asset.
  • Practical knowledge and application of pay equity principles and legislation.
  • Experience in developing and implementing compensation related projects and experience with compensation and trends in total rewards.
  • Advanced analytical, research, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills with the ability to identify needs, options, opportunities for change/improvement and solutions.
  • Knowledge of employment and related legislation such as the Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, and the Pay Equity Act.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of software packages, including Word, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience using SuccessFactors would be an asset but not required.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to initiate, co-ordinate and oversee the implementation of projects while working collaboratively with other team members.
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
