Expected Salary: $127,930 to $159,913

 

To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

In this role, you will: 

 

  • Report directly to the Director of Aviation for Babcock Canada Inc
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of aviation professionals in line with Babcock’s six principles and role model behaviour expected across our business
  • Anticipate, plan and manage maintenance and operations as well as program needs for a fleet of 7 AW169s
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness to ensure alignment with business needs
  • Provide timely, accurate and comprehensive reporting to all levels of the business to ensure sound business decisions and risk mitigation
  • Develop and hold senior customer, industry and community partner relationships across the aviation sector
  • Assume Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for the BC Aviation business and be responsible for the safe and successful delivery of contract performance
  • Work effectively with peers across Babcock’s global network to ensure best practice in operations, timely embedding of technology solutions and enhanced service offerings to support the Aviation growth strategy
  • Provide expertise to support business development in solution development
  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate brings: 

 

  • 10 years of progressive experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Hold a university degree or equivalent professional qualification and/or experience
  • Experience in a fixed or rotary-wing operational environment, preferably in air ambulance operations
  • Evidence of building a high performing, safety focused culture with high engagement
  • Experience of managing safe, complex, operational delivery in related operational areas
  • Experience of developing and maintaining long-term relationships with public and private sector customers at a senior level
  • Experience in managing and coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring that all departments are aligned and working towards common goals
  • Experience of managing relationships with senior stakeholders in customer organisations
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
  • Evidence of performance excellence, specifically financial results
  • Evidence of a strong commercial understanding of risk and contract management
  • Eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
