Expected Salary: $67,021 - $83,776
To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

In this role, you will:
- Work as part of the Aviation Safety & Compliance team ensuring alignment with the Aviation Safety & Compliance procedures in Canada and Babcock International Group standards.
- Manage a reporting system to ensure the timely collection of information related to hazards, incidents and accidents that may adversely affect safety.
- Report hazards, incidents and accidents identified under the safety management system or as a result of an audit.
- Be responsible for reporting concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Perform / facilitate hazard identification and carrying out safety risk analyses.
- Facilitate the investigation, analyzing and identification of the cause or probable cause of all hazards, incidents, and accidents.
- Establish and maintain safety data to monitor and analyze trends in hazards, incidents, and accidents.
- Monitor corrective actions and evaluate the results.
- Monitor safety concerns of the aviation industry and their perceived impact on the organization’s operations.
- Plan and organize safety training.
- Maintain records and safety documentation.
- Manage Safety promotional activities.
- Organize and facilitate Safety & Quality Action Groups.
- Act on deficiencies identified by audits and investigations as well as safety reports in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Communicate and ensure all safety information, notices, policies, directives, legislation, regulations to all managers and employees are accessible.
- Be responsible for keeping the Safety Management System manual (SMS) current.
- Complete Emergency Preparedness planning.
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate brings:
- Experience in Aviation.
- Experience conducting operational safety audits, safety investigations and processing / reviewing Hazard and Safety Occurrence Reports.
- Sound Knowledge of TCCA and HSE legislation, and Operational Risk Management.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in the conduct of trend analysis and development of improvement and/or remedial action plans.
- A sound understanding of Safety Management Systems.
- A sound understanding of the application of human factors in aviation
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Eligibility for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
