Expected Salary: $78,649 to $113,604

In this role, you will:
- Produce maintenance Work Packages for Victoria Class Submarines (VCS) and assist Repair Facility with maintenance period planning
- Review and schedule Repair Facility and Ship Staff Preventative Maintenance Work Packages for VCS maintenance periods, in accordance with VCS Class Plan or as directed by the Maintenance Engineering Manager, identifying issues/risks against individual items where appropriate
- Assist Maintenance Engineering Manager with the integration of Babcock Canada Work Package production & management processes and Applications (Work Package Management Tool / Collaborative Working Environment) into current Department of National Defence (DND) processes
- Liaise with all key Work Package production stakeholders, including but not limited to DND Design Authorities, Class Desk, Formation Technical Authorities (FTA) and Ship’s Staff for all work package related issues
- Ensure all work package items are populated in Work Package Management Tool (WPM Tool) with key planning data, sufficient to allow Repair Facility to produce maintenance period plan
- Coordinate Work Package Change Applications, Enquiries and Change Requests, hastening responses as required
- Act as on-site super user of WPM Tool, providing guidance and training to on-site user community, as required
- Support Emergent Work activities in the creation, maintenance, and administration of maintenance routines and associated documentation, including but not limited to Operation and Maintenance Manuals, and other maintenance related documentation
- Support Integrated Logistics Supportability Analysis acting as a Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person including, but not limited to, Failure Modes Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
- Other duties as necessary
The ideal candidate brings:
- A post-secondary technology diploma in an electrical discipline (or equivalent experience and training)
- Certification as AScT or CET, or are eligible to complete certification within 12 months
- 10+ years’ relevant experience with electrical systems
- Experience in marine and/or combat support with extensive knowledge of DND working practices an asset
- Proven ability to be self-motivated and pro-active
- Strong written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of processes associated with ships and/or submarines
- Strong understanding and application of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) as an asset
- Experience working in IFS considered as an asset
- Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security, Controlled Goods, and ITAR Clearance
