The role
As a Senior Structural Technician, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary. You shape the built environment behind programmes that matter, from major defence infrastructure to nuclear decommissioning that safeguards communities and the environment.
Day-to-day, you will
- Produce detailed 3D Revit models and high‑quality drawings that meet project standards and audit trails.
- Coordinate with structural engineers and other disciplines to ensure designs integrate seamlessly across civil, structural and architectural interfaces.
- Manage model and drawing updates through project phases, maintaining version control and data integrity.
- Check outputs for accuracy, consistency and buildability, resolving issues proactively with stakeholders.
- Contribute to both defence and civil nuclear projects, bringing best practice and continuous improvement to delivery.
You’ll work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at our Bristol or Warrington, Cheshire site. Hybrid working patterns are available, with 2–3 days in the office.
Essential experience of the Senior Structural Technician:
- Experience in a structural role delivering complex, large‑scale projects through full lifecycles in a commercial environment.
- Advanced Revit capability, producing autonomous designs and drawing packages while coordinating with engineering teams and other disciplines.
- Demonstrable engineering knowledge applied to real‑world project delivery.
- Strong collaboration skills across multi‑disciplinary teams and suppliers.
- A track record of quality, compliance and on‑time outputs.
Qualifications for the Senior Structural Technician:
- Essential: We value practical expertise — if you have equivalent experience delivering structural models and drawings to industry standards, we’d like to hear from you.
- Preferred: HNC in Engineering (or equivalent). BIM/Revit training or certification is advantageous.
