The role
As a Project Quality Lead you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will provide functional advice, guidance and support to the business on all matters related to the delivery of a project, ensuring outputs meet customer and regulatory requirements.

 

Day to day, you will be responsible for providing key support to the Quality Manager. You will play a key role in project delivery, proactively supporting and advising on all aspects of quality management on our innovative projects, including risks and issues, as well as implementing improvements. Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with both internal and external international customer to ensure quality requirements are defined and standards are met.

 

  • Developing and managing project quality arrangements.
  • Developing and implementing appropriate auditing arrangements  within the project, both internally and externally (e.g. Suppliers).
  • Ensuring any project quality non conformances / issues are managed and closed out.
  • Ensuring Supplier quality arrangements are reviewed and approved / acceptance in accordance with project requirements, including Customer approvals.
  • Liaising with customers to understand their requirements / expectations for quality assurance, quality control and inspection.
  • Undertake quality planning, including the preparation of the project quality documentation and as required the writing of project specific procedures / local working instructions. The inclusion of health, safety and environment aspects should be consider in drafting the project quality documentation.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

 

Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential experience of the Project Quality Lead:

  • Knowledge of all relevant regulations and legislation
  • Knowledge of the Customers quality requirements
  • Knowledge and application of ISO 9001
  • Experience overseeing or leading a small team within a project delivery environment 
  • Have a proven track record preferably gained within a similar role in the Nuclear or other highly regulated industry

 

Qualifications for the Project Quality Lead:

  • Qualified to degree, HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject e.g. engineering.
