The role

As a Quality Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a key part in shaping quality assurance across highly regulated and complex projects, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and internal standards.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll oversee project quality planning, ensure supplier arrangements meet expectations, lead investigations into non-conformances, drive continuous improvement, and engage with internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of quality delivery.

  • Lead and advise on all aspects of quality management across project lifecycles.

  • Ensure supplier quality documentation is reviewed and approved in line with requirements.

  • Implement and manage quality audit arrangements (internal and external).

  • Manage quality non-conformances, ensuring timely resolution and learning.

  • Provide quality input into bids, tenders, and project delivery documentation.

 

This role is full time 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

 

Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential experience of the Quality Manager

  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry, ideally nuclear or defence.

  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.

  • Experience with full project lifecycle

 

Qualifications for the Quality Manager

  • Ideally qualified to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject, e.g. engineering.

  • ISO 9001 Lead or Internal Auditor trained.

  • Member (or working towards membership) of the Chartered Quality Institute.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
