The role
As a Process Engineering Manager, you'll provide leadership across complex engineering programmes, guiding projects from concept and design through to delivery and commissioning.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Managing engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to construction and delivery.
- Collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and project teams to resolve complex technical and delivery challenges.
- Ensuring engineering outputs comply with quality, safety, regulatory, and technical assurance requirements.
- Developing engineering capability through mentoring, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a full-time role based at either our Warrington or Preston site. Hybrid working patterns are available with an expectation of three days per week on site.
Essential experience of the Process Engineering Manager:
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex process-led projects.
- Strong background within chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, oil and gas, or similarly regulated industries.
- Experience managing engineering projects through the full lifecycle from concept and design to commissioning and delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across multiple disciplines.
- Experience applying engineering governance, safety, quality, and technical assurance standards within complex environments.
Qualifications for the Process Engineering Manager:
- Degree, or equivalent qualification, in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration.
