The role

As a Health, Safety and Environment Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will play a critical part in ensuring that our projects meet their Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) commitments. Your expertise will help guide and oversee HS&E activities, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of excellence.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be involved in a variety of tasks designed to support the effective management of HS&E standards on our projects.

 

  • Managing Health, Safety and Environment data using the Synergi system, providing basic coaching, and utilizing its reporting tools to produce accurate reports.

  • Producing monthly reports to support internal accountability and client performance, gathering data from various project areas.

  • Tracking progress on HS&E actions, including objectives from the SHEQ Improvement Plan.

  • Coordinating HS&E meetings, taking relevant actions, and documenting minutes.

  • Creating and delivering learning briefs, toolbox talks, and other HS&E content for project briefings.

 

This is a full-time agile role and can be based at various sites, including Bristol, Warrington or Newbury.

 

Essential experience of the Health, Safety and Environment Assistant

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience working in an HS&E team or setting would be advantageous.
