At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Quality Assurance Engineer at our HPC site. This role is part of the MEH alliance.

The MEH alliance work across the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s 2,500 rooms.

 

The role

 

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will assist QA Area Lead in ensuring that the Project Quality Assurance requirements are understood and implemented and, ensure that client and statutory requirements are effectively met.

 

Day to day, you’ll help to develop inspection test plans for the site.

 

  • Developing standards
  • Incorporating lessons learned / best practices in the quality system
  • Training on quality
  •  Audits and quality improvements.
  • Maintain CAR / NCR logs, Lesson Learned

 

Essential experience of the Quality Assurance Engineer,

 

  • Background in Quality 
  • Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, ONC / HNC / HND 
  • Auditing experience 
  • Understanding of automation (relevant computer related qualification would be desirable) 
  • Experience in a regulated industry 

 

This role is 37 hours per week on a 9-day fortnight. There are core hours but it is otherwise flexible. If you live more than 2 hours from site you will be eligible for a secondment allowance and tax free accommodation allowance.

 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance level for this role.
