This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.

 

The role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You will support the QA Area Lead in ensuring that the Project Quality Assurance requirements are understood and implemented and to ensure that Client and statutory requirements are effectively met.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll support developing of standards, incorporating lessons learned / best practices, training, audits and quality improvements.

  • Ensure the highest degree of professionalism in all dealings related to the Contract.
  • To report on quality metrics for the measurement of performance of the Works.
  • Assist in Audits on Project Activities as per project schedule and ad hoc.
  • Review Lifetime Quality Records for compliance.
  • Interact cross-functionally with project team members and management.

 

This role is full time and 37 hours per week and is based on site at Hinkley Point C on a 9-day fortnight pattern. 

 

Essential experience of the Quality Assurance Engineer

  • Significant experience in quality roles
  • Major construction project experience
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments e.g. Oil and gas, Nuclear etc.

 

Qualifications for the Quality Assurance Engineer

  • ONC / HNC / HND in engineering discipline
  • Membership of Chartered Quality Institute and IRAC auditor training

 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve a minimum of BPSS security clearance for this role.

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
