This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.

 

The role

As a Project Controller, you'll play an important role in supporting the successful delivery of major clean energy programmes.

 

This is a permanent role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Developing and maintaining project schedules, baseline budgets and project control documentation.
  • Producing weekly and monthly project performance reports, including cost, schedule and variance analysis.
  • Managing project risk and opportunity registers and supporting mitigation activities.
  • Implementing and maintaining project change control processes and associated impact assessments.
  • Supporting project teams with forecasting, budgeting, reporting and performance monitoring activities.

 

Essential experience of the Project Controller

  • Extensive recent experience in a project controls, project management office or project support environment.
  • Experience using project controls tools and techniques, including cost control, performance analysis, forecasting and reporting.
  • Knowledge of project lifecycle delivery from bid phase through to project close-out.
  • Experience working with enterprise project controls systems and reporting tools.
  • Awareness of recognised contract forms and contracting methodologies, including NEC contracts.

 

Qualifications for the Project Controller

  • Minimum Ordinary National Certificate or Ordinary National Diploma in an engineering-related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
  • Level 3 National Vocational Qualification, or equivalent qualification.

 

Security Clearance
