This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.
The role
As a Payroll Coordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You’ll ensure accurate and timely payroll coordination for our blue-collar workforce, helping maintain strong industrial relations and employee wellbeing. Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Acting as the MEH focal point for on-site payroll for all blue-collar personnel up to and including Superintendent
- Coordinating payroll activity using the Kronos Time and Attendance system in line with approved procedures
- Resolving pay queries efficiently to support harmonious industrial relations and employee engagement
- Collating time and attendance records, investigating any non-attendance, and ensuring timecards are complete before submission
- Communicating clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels
This is a permanent role, based at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Essential experience of the Payroll Coordinator:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or demonstrable competency through assessment/interview
- Strong IT skills across the full Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent Excel and data analysis ability
- Experience in payroll departments managing multiple payrolls or high volumes of weekly timesheets
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail
- Clear and confident communicator via email, phone and face-to-face
Qualifications for the Payroll Coordinator:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
Security Clearance
