The role
As an Electrical Quality Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safe, compliant and successful delivery of one of the most complex nuclear new build projects in the UK. This is your opportunity to apply your technical expertise, shape quality culture, and influence standards across a major engineering programme that supports national energy security.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Oversee and assure the completeness, accuracy and timely submission of project documentation and inspection records.
- Manage nonconformances from identification through to full resolution, ensuring clear reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Conduct surveillance activities, identify emerging trends and escalate risks to support safe and compliant delivery.
- Work closely with document control teams to track performance, readiness and handover progress.
- Provide subject matter expertise, guidance and support to teams to ensure compliance with nuclear regulations and project standards.
The role is full time, 37 hours per week, based on site at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset.
Essential experience of the Electrical Quality Manager:
- Recognised auditor qualification.
- Engineering or quality‑related qualification aligned to the electrical discipline.
- Strong experience delivering assurance within major engineering projects.
- Proven team or line management leadership experience.
- A track record of driving quality culture, assurance behaviours and continuous improvement across complex projects.
Qualifications for the Electrical Quality Manager:
- Recognised auditor qualification
- Engineering qualification at HNC/HND level or equivalent - Desirable
- Additional quality management or nuclear industry training would be advantageous - Desirable
Security Clearance
