The role

We’re seeking a Modular Reactor Civil and Structural Lead to join our Advanced Nuclear Technologies team, working in a fast‑moving, innovation‑led environment with real national impact. You’ll help shape the next generation of nuclear power through cutting‑edge design, accelerated deployment and projects that strengthen the UK’s long‑term energy resilience. The role is full time, working 37 hours per week, and can be undertaken remotely with occasional travel to Cavendish Nuclear and customer sites in the north‑west of England.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

• Leading civil and structural engineering assurance activities to ensure technical quality, compliance, and safety.
• Managing multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver agreed technical scope on time and to standard.
• Reviewing and approving calculations, analyses, reports, specifications, and method statements.
• Engaging with customers and stakeholders to build trusted relationships and resolve technical or delivery challenges.
• Promoting the highest standards of health, safety, ethics, and collaborative working across all engineering activities.

Essential experience of the Modular Reactor Civil and Structural Lead:

• Demonstrating senior‑level experience within civil and structural engineering, ideally in regulated or complex environments.
• Providing technical leadership and assurance across design and engineering delivery.
• Working across a range of engineering scopes and technical complexities.
• Operating in customer‑facing roles with confidence and professionalism.

Qualifications for the Modular Reactor Civil and Structural Lead:

•  A recognised engineering degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline or Chartered Engineer status.

Security Clearance
