Procurement Specialist



Here at Cavendish Nuclear we have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join the team in Radar Road, Leicester. The successful candidate will utilise their experience from similar environments to ensure that the department is delivering on complex projects.

The ideal candidate will be able to transfer their already existing experience and understanding of Machining and Fabricating capabilities, alongside confidently communicating with varying levels of stakeholders.

What you must have:

A Procurement professional with experience working within a large engineering biased organisation who has a background of Machining or Fabricating is essential. We would also like you to hold some or all of the following:

  • Nuclear, Construction, Aerospace, Electronics, Manufacturing background experience.
  • Ability to manage a variety of manufacturing processes.
  • Procurement of electrical parts would be a distinct advantage.
  • Proven experience of managing sourcing and tendering processes in accordance with agreed project and/or programme deliverables
  • Ensuring that all technical and quality requirements are fully satisfied and that all material and service requirements are supplied in accordance with Project programmes

Additional information:

  • We currently have three opportunities available at our site in Leicester.
  • There is a requirement of around 20% of your time to be travelling to other sites throughout the UK.
  • The successful candidate will be required to obtain the level of security clearance that is appropriate (SC)
