The role

 

The difference our new Project Manager will make


As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll work closely with our client EDF to ensure that all spares required for the Defueling programme are delivered in time for the trajected start date. 

 

Day to day, you’ll be accountable for planning and monitoring the programme (profit & loss) ; agree plans with the Business Unit Director and submit regular Monthly Review Reports indicating any deviations and corrective action taken. You’ll manage the Customer Interface and associated management of the project including Identification and monitoring of project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing response to these and responding to other issues that affect the project. You’ll lead the project to deliver world class performance by means of employee engagement, continuous improvement and identifying and implementing the latest technology and also lead on Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment within the project. You’ll establish and maintain governance arrangements for the delivery of the project, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities that align with the Business.

This role provides hybrid working arrangements with 2/3 days in the office/onsite and 2/3 days working from home. This role also requires travel to Gloucester to visit client sites. 

 

Essential experience

 

•    Recent and relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector
•    Demonstrated experience in a Project Management position
•    Full project lifecycle experience from bid phase through to close out
•    Understanding Project Controls, particularly around financials 
•    A bachelor's degree in engineering / project / construction management or a related field
(or equivalent)
•    Demonstrated experience of APM competencies such as: Schedule Management, Budgeting and Cost Control, Risk, opportunity and issue management experience, Change Control and Team Management 
•    You must be able to achieve CTC clearance
