The role

 

The difference our new Mechanical Production Coordinator will make


As a Mechanical Production Coordinator you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll safely deliver the management and Control of Production activities while coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure delivery of orders are to schedule and cost.
 

Day to day, you’ll ensure all personnel under their direct control have received the appropriate setting to work briefing to carry out activities to the right health, safety, quality and environmental requirements. You’ll act as line manager for all direct reports, ensuring all individuals are trained, developed and set to work in full compliance with the standards and expectations of Cavendish Nuclear. Providing input to quotations and estimates to complete for future and ongoing works in the facility. Ensuring that suitable Risk Assessments (including the Point of Work Risk Assessment) have been carried out, prior to commencement of work, in accordance with the requirements of the appropriate, site-specific Health, Safety and Environmental and Welfare Plan (HSEW plan). Undertake weekly toolbox talks, ensuring all Cavendish Nuclear, Agency and contracting personnel are aware, understand and sign onto relevant method statement, risk assessments and any issues arising etc. Develop short, medium and long-term resourcing strategies for mechanical function at Whetstone to meet future demands, including developing weekly resource plans to guide the technician team on their following week’s tasks.

Essential experience

 

•    HNC/HND ideally in production/Mechanical discipline or approved apprenticeship with experience in a supervising or leading responsible role
•    IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
•    Substantial experience in manufacturing, assembly in regulated industry
