The role


The difference our new Assistant Project Manager will make

As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be working on various projects within our Graphite Inspections area, reporting back on progress against schedules and project cost against budget to the end client.


Day to day, you’ll deliver key project management functions in support of the overall project delivery, including schedule, financial and risk functions. You’ll support the development of accurate and up-to-date financial and schedule estimates to ensure the project is accurately planned and reported as well as managing the planning, monitor and control of work packages being delivered by other internal and external resources. You’ll apply the Business Management System (BMS) appropriately for the project and produce and communicate project-reporting data on Project Controls and Finance systems and you’ll also undertake aspects of stakeholder management and communications activities are required and support development of stakeholder management plans.

Essential experience


•    Experience within a project related role, ideally within a highly regulated industry
•    Understanding of project execution plans and the full project lifecycle
•    A Project Management qualification e.g. APM fundamentals or Prince2
•    Good communication skills—able to influence and challenge people when necessary
•    Good organisational skills, particularly time management 
•    Enjoys working on challenging tasks
