As a key partner in the prestigious Nuclear Technical Support Provider (NTSP) framework—valued between £250 million and £400 million—Cavendish is delivering critical upgrades to the Royal Navy’s infrastructure at HMNB Clyde

The role

 

As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll lead high-impact projects that shape the future of the UK’s nuclear infrastructure—delivering success at every scale.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll

 

  • Act as the key interface with the customer, proactively managing project risks and ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Establish and uphold robust project governance, clearly defining roles and responsibilities in line with our Business Management System.
  • Champion operational excellence by fostering employee engagement, driving continuous improvement, and embracing innovative technologies.
  • Take full accountability for programme planning and financial performance (P&L), including monthly reporting and implementing corrective actions where needed.
  • Lead the way in promoting a strong culture of Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality across all aspects of the project.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week based in Glasgow, providing hybrid working arrangements with 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home.

 

Essential experience of the Project Manager:

 

  • A strong track record of recent and relevant experience within a comparable environment or industry sector.
  • Proven expertise in a Project Management role, with the ability to lead complex, high-value programmes.
  • Solid understanding of a range of contracting methodologies, such as NEC4.
  • Comprehensive experience across the full project lifecycle—from bid and mobilisation through to delivery and close-out.

 

Qualifications for the Project Manager:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project, or Construction Management (or equivalent).
  • APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ).
  • NEC4 qualification; nuclear sector experience is a plus.

 

Security Clearance


The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
