The role
As an Executive Assistant you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Babcock provides services including fleet time engineering, facilities management, waterfront services, logistics and transport within an agreed operating budget, firmly focused on continuous and sustainable improvement in warship and submarine support.

 

Day to day, you’ll provide key administrative and business support to three Directors of the Executive Board to allow them to focus on critical business.  The role will require personalised and timely support to be provided to each Director.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The main purpose of the role will be to provide key administrative and business support to 3 Directors of the Executive Board to allow them to focus on critical business. 
  • The role will require personalised and timely support to be provided to each Director.
  • Meetings Management: Organise and schedule meetings for Senior Management (Exec Board)
  • Collation and Preparation of Information: Prepare/collate information for various monthly reports in adherence with relevant deadline dates, i.e. Exco Report, Naval Nuclear submission etc.
  • Prioritisation of tasks
  • Handle all arrangements for visits to Clyde (internal Babcock or External visitors)

 

Essential experience of the Executive Assistant

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Expert user of virtual meeting technology including Microsoft Teams and Skype.
  • Minute taking
  • Reporting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including influencing skills. 
  • Organisation and prioritisation skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

 

This is a full-time, permanent position based at HMNB Clyde, near Helensburgh with flexible working from home options.

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
