The role
As a Site Supervisor, you play a vital role in supporting operations at Torness as the station transitions from operational status into defueling and decommissioning. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a critical phase in the nuclear lifecycle, contributing to national safety and sustainability.
Day-to-day, you’ll
- Support the safe execution of planned operations in line with work pack instructions
- Conduct safety inspections and behavioural observations
- Brief working parties and subcontractors, and set them to work
- Follow company procedures and safety protocols
- Lead by example, with a 50/50 split between supervisory duties and hands-on work
This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:00–16:30, with a 13:00 finish on Fridays). The role is site-based at Torness Nuclear Power Station, near Dunbar, in East Lothian, Scotland with occasional planned overtime.
Essential experience of the Site Supervisor:
- Supervisory experience in a technical field or previous delegated responsibility
- Experience in highly regulated environments
Qualifications for the Site Supervisor:
- Level 4 (HNC) in a relevant Engineering discipline or Level 3 with an approved apprenticeship
Security Clearance
