The Operations Director, reporting into the Vice-President Aviation, will be responsible for managing the current aviation contracts in Manitoba and mobilizing and managing new business opportunities across Canada.


In this role, you will:


  • Successfully deliver on Babcock’s contractual commitments to its customers
  • Provide strategic oversight, direction and mentorship of the Aviation operational teams
  • Ensure an effective and efficient operational business model is in place to deliver the Aviation business strategy
  • Lead and deliver future contract mobilisation plans
  • Build customer and business-to-business relationships within the Canadian Aviation market.
  • Provide timely, accurate and comprehensive support to all levels of the operation to ensure sound business decisions and risk mitigation.
  • Develop professional succession and supersession plan to support the Aviation growth plan.


As our ideal candidate,


  • You will be an experienced, dynamic individual possessing the skills and attitude required to deliver exceptional services to the customer and deliver significant growth for Babcock Canada
  • You will have significant commercial experience with the ability to think innovatively in dealing with contract management.
  • Ideally you will have a background in aviation operations, specifically flight operations, and a comprehensive understanding of Transport Canada regulations
  • You will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build long lasting and profitable business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • You are a proven exemplary leader
