The role

As a Senior Information Technology Internal Auditor, you'll play a critical role in providing independent assurance across our global business. Working at the heart of risk management, governance and internal controls, you'll help identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen cyber and information technology processes, and support the delivery of strategic business objectives.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to influence decision-making across a complex international organisation while gaining exposure to a broad range of technology, cyber security and operational environments. Your expertise will help ensure Babcock continues to deliver essential services that support national security, defence, aerospace and critical infrastructure.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

 

  • Leading and delivering information technology and cyber risk audits across the business.
  • Identifying business risks and evaluating the effectiveness of key information technology controls.
  • Developing audit findings and recommending practical improvements to strengthen the control environment.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to agree remediation plans and monitoring implementation of actions.
  • Preparing clear audit documentation, reports and insights that support informed decision-making.

 

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and <provides hybrid working arrangements with 1 day in the office and 4 days working from home.

 

Essential experience of the Senior IT Internal Auditor

  • Demonstrating significant experience in information technology audit, cyber security, risk management or internal controls.
  • Applying knowledge of audit, risk and control frameworks within complex organisations.
  • Using analytical thinking and sound judgement to assess risks and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Building effective relationships through excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Adopting a proactive approach to understanding changing business needs and emerging risks.

 

Qualifications for the Senior IT Internal Auditor

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
