The role
As a Global Product Safety Management Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Responsible for leading the development, co-ordination and review of the Product Safety Management System across Babcock International Group

 

Day-to-day, working closely with the Sector / DRC Product Safety Leads and Senior Leaders across all Functions, you will collaborate to ensure that Product Safety management processes align with Safety, Health & Environment and Corporate Risk management processes and activities.

  • Develop, co-ordinate and review the Global Product Safety Management System (PSMS) and support Sector / Direct Reporting Country (DRC) Product Safety Leads in the development and application of tailored Product Safety Management Plans (PSMPs)
  • Develop, review and refine the Global Product Safety Policy, Manual, Processes and Guidance Material, to ensure the Global PSMS continues to meet or exceed our legal, regulatory and ethical customer-facing responsibilities for managing the safety of our products, spanning all goods and services delivered by BIG
  • Develop, plan and co-ordinate the Global Product Safety Review Board (PSRB) to ensure effective oversight of Product Safety management across each Sector / DRC, and to review the level of risk, identify significant trends and share knowledge across BIG
  • Conduct continuous surveillance and analysis of Product Safety reporting and investigations to ensure consistent and effective application across BIG. Monitor and provide guidance where necessary on the identification of root causes and contributary factors, management and timely closure of recommendations and the sharing of lessons
  • Collaborate with the Global Product Safety Training & Promotion Manager in generating and disseminating case studies derived from completed investigations, for training and messaging purposes and to share and exploit knowledge and lessons learned.

 

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

 

Essential experience of the Global Product Safety Management Manager:

  • A Safety Management subject matter expert with significant experience in Risk Management and the development and application of Safety Management policy and process
  • Safety Engineering experience 
  • Qualified TOPSET investigator with leadership experience in a safety management environment would be desirable 

 

Qualifications for the Global Product Safety Management Manager:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
