The Role
As the Global Head of Technical Governance and Assurance, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will have responsibility over the development, implementation and management of the technical governance and assurance framework across Babcock International Group. 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll develop and implement independent technical governance and assurance processes to ensure technical risks within programs are identified and managed. 

 

  • Collection and analysis of technical performance data 
  • Management and change control of the engineering policy
  • Management and coordination of independent technical reviews across the group 
  • Communicate with and influence stakeholders regarding the integration of governance and assurance
  • Development, implementation and management of the technical authority framework 

 

This role is full time and requires travel across a range of internal and customer sites on a regular basis, alongside home working arrangements.

 

Experience Required of the Global Head of Technical Governance and Assurance 

  • Ability to think innovatively in order to enhance current offerings and identify opportunities to optimise engineering capability
  • High degree of commercial & legal knowledge 
  • Ability to influence enterprise-wide cultural change and embed values and behaviours 
  • Use of data to understand, identify and overcome barriers to operational excellence
  • Effectively develop and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

 

Qualifications for the Global Head of Technical Governance and Assurance 

  • Bachelor of Engineering 
  • Chartered membership of appropriate professional institute

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
