The role

As a Transformation Director Nuclear Sector, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal leadership role at a time of significant growth and evolution across our Nuclear Sector. Reporting directly to the Nuclear Sector Chief Executive Officer, you will define and drive the long-term transformation strategy, ensuring the business is positioned for sustainable growth, operational excellence, and successful delivery of customer missions.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Developing and maintaining the Nuclear Sector transformation strategy and roadmap, aligned to business priorities and Group objectives.
• Leading a sector-wide view of transformation programmes, including investment, risks, dependencies, capacity, outcomes and benefits realisation.
• Providing strategic insight, recommendations and assurance to the Nuclear Sector Chief Executive Officer and Executive Committee.
• Supporting business unit leaders to mobilise effective change, strengthen delivery readiness and embed sustainable improvements.
• Acting as the principal interface between the Nuclear Sector and Group leadership on transformation initiatives and priorities

This role is full time and provides hybrid working arrangements. This role can be based nationally from one of our Babcock hubs such as Bristol, Plymouth, Clyde, Warrington, Leicester, Clyde or Rosyth.

Essential experience of the Transformation Director Nuclear Sector

• Demonstrable experience leading large-scale transformation and change programmes at a senior leadership level.
• Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify opportunities that support business growth, people objectives and customer outcomes.
• Experience within the nuclear industry, including an understanding of nuclear safety, regulatory requirements and licensing.
• Proven expertise in strategy development, deployment and execution.
• Strong financial management and commercial awareness, with the ability to evaluate investment decisions and business performance.

Qualifications for the Transformation Director Nuclear Sector

• P3M qualification or equivalent programme, portfolio or project management accreditation.
