The role
As a Creative Content Producer and Instructional Designer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be at the forefront of crafting high-impact learning and communications content that empowers our people and strengthens our national capability. This is an exciting opportunity to transform complex technical information into meaningful, accessible, and engaging learning experiences that support some of the most important engineering, marine, and defence programmes in the UK.
Day-to-day you’ll be required to:
- Create high-quality multimedia learning solutions including videos, e-learning, instructor-led content, and interactive digital assets.
- Transform technical or complex information into engaging, easy-to-understand learning experiences.
- Develop content using instructional design principles, learning theories, and adult learning methodologies.
- Collaborate with operational teams, communications specialists, and technical experts across the business.
- Manage multiple design and media projects to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week, with a hybrid working arrangement. You’ll be based remotely but will need to live within reasonable travel distance of one of our main Babcock hubs, including Rosyth, Warrington, Bristol or Plymouth. The Creative Content Producer and Instructional Designer role involves regular travel to our sites across the UK for shoots and meetings, typically around two days per week on site, with occasional limited international travel.
Essential experience of the Creative Content Producer and Instructional Designer
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning approaches.
- Experience creating interactive, multimedia learning content, including e-learning and video.
- Proficiency with Adobe creative tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop, plus digital learning tools such as Articulate.
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and Learning Management Systems.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications for the Creative Content Producer and Instructional Designer
- Degree-level qualification or relevant education/training in digital learning, media, design or a related field.
