The role

 

The difference our new Commercial Managers will make:
As one of our Commercial Managers, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for the commercial management of relevant contracts addressing all associated commercial matters in accordance with best practice methodology.

 

Day to day, you can expect to provide commercial leadership and guidance to contracts/project(s)/bids as required and set the overall direction of the Commercial staff; whilst developing key external commercial customer relationships.

 

You could play a key role in the delivery of a range of critical projects across our various business sectors, supporting key customers in industries which include defence, marine, civil nuclear, emergency services and private sector training.

Essential experience

 

•    Ideally, educated to degree level with a Law degree or Quantity Surveyor qualification, or equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
•    Demonstratable knowledge of working to NEC3 or NEC4 and bidding.
•    Evidence of developing and sustaining positive working relationships including the ability to negotiate and to influence customer commercial strategy.
•    Experience in providing commercial specialist input into bids and contracts.
•    Proven success in commercially managing large-scale projects and complex change initiatives using appropriate methodologies.
