The role
As a Welder Fabricator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. A wide range of operations take place on site at Warminster so opportunities for work and progression are very broad with training programs also available.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be working in a close collaborative environment where people take great pride in their work. General duties currently include working on Trucks and Land Rovers to weld and fabricate parts such as chassis, bulkheads and other steel parts.

  • Welding preparation including grinding, sanding and blasting
  • Painting tasks including spraying, patch painting and rolling
  • Using various welding types e.g. mig, tig, arc and oxy acetylene
  • Inspect/assess equipment for welding requirements
  • Use of hydraulic equipment and cranes or forklifts

 

This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Warminster. 

 

Essential experience of the Welder Fabricator

  • Working in an environment of similar nature welding heavy commercial vehicles
  • Knowledge on a range of welding processes with demonstratable experience

 

Qualifications for the Welder Fabricator

  • Educated to Level 3 in Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) / National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) as a minimum. (Welding)
  • Full UK driving license

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
