The role

As an IT Support Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will help us deliver our training function to the armed forces by ensuring all display and audiovisual equipment is in proper working order.

Day-to-day, you’ll support and maintain the audiovisual equipment onsite.

 

  • Provide first-line support and troubleshoot issues that arise with AV and Digital Signage equipment.
  • Build and install items such as mounting TVs to stands, cabling and connectivity for AV including web cams, projectors, and monitors.
  • Liaise with and manage the interactions with the Authority’s AV Contractor
  • Assist AV custodians in conducting checks and updates on presentation suites and classroom AV thus mitigating against potential AV issues and assisting in maintaining an uninterrupted service.

 

This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based at Bovington.

 

Essential experience of the IT Support Technician

  • IT background
  • Knowledge of audiovisual equipment 
  • Experience fault-finding 

 

Qualifications for the IT Support Technician 

  • Level 3 qualification or above in IT or electronics preferred
