As a Storekeeper, you'll play an important role in supporting logistics and operational activities, ensuring equipment, stock and resources are available where and when they're needed. Working within a busy stores environment, you'll help maintain accurate inventory records, support stock management activities and ensure operational requirements are met efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team where your attention to detail, organisational skills and commitment to service delivery will directly contribute to the successful performance of a key defence training contract.
Day-to-day, you will be:
- Managing and maintaining accurate stock and inventory records.
- Operating and managing inventory account systems, with full training provided.
- Conducting equipment issues, receipts and stock transactions in line with procedures.
- Ordering fuels and lubricants using approved processes and systems.
- Carrying out regular stores inspections, stock checks and inventory audits.
This is a permanent, part-time position working 25 hours per week. Flexible working days can be agreed. The role is based on site at Bovington.
Essential experience of the Storekeeper:
- Experience managing resources within a stores, warehouse or logistics environment.
- Good IT skills, including a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence communicating with colleagues and customers.
- Own transport, or the ability to travel reliably to site each working day.
