The role
As a Lifeguard, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll support military training exercises when required.
Day-to-day, you’ll carry out checks of the poolside and changing room areas before and after each swimming session, comply with pool safety operating procedures, report any damage to the pool or building fabric, check the pool safety equipment for serviceability and ensure pool safety procedures are being adhered to.
- Attend regular training sessions as directed by the Pool Supervisor
- Ensure own fitness level is maintained and remain current with National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
- Check pool safety equipment for serviceability.
- Report any damage to the pool or building fabric.
- Wear the correct, appropriate and distinctively marked clothing while on duty.
- Comply with the work roster agreed with the Pool Supervisor
This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods of time.
This role is a zero hours contract and is based on site at Bovington.
Essential experience of the Lifeguard:
- Previous Lifeguarding experience
Qualifications for the Lifeguard:
- N P L Q – National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
