The role


As a Marketing Executive you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will support the implementation of a community engagement programme, ensuring regular communication with key stakeholders and building successful relationships with a wide range of local groups and community leaders, involving them in the co-production and delivery of Babcock’s identified social programmes and development opportunities.

 

Day-to-day, you will build strong relationships with local community leaders and charities increasing community engagement, while creating opportunities for positive change and growth. You will also be the driving force behind the social value initiatives strategy.

 

  • Act as a representative to promote the organisation's practices, initiatives and goals. Promoting these ideas to the community to help the organisation reinforce the value of its initiatives.
  • Work with Babcock Marketing and Communication teams to promote activities to internal and external audiences and HR/Early Careers to align to STEM engagement, I&D and talent priorities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders, including the customer and supply chain, to help Babcock to provide their services and secure funding. Maintain these relationships to promote community engagement and clarify goals.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to identify issues and obstacles that prevent Babcock from mobilising initiatives and creating opportunities. Create development plans to overcome these issues with long-term sustainable solutions.
  • Develop a monthly reporting system to the management team that meets customer and business requirement
  • Support the office manager with her duties and support the team in her absence


This role is full time working 40 hours per week. Usually Monday-Friday but a degree of flexibility will be required as there is a possibility the role will require out of hours/weekend working for meetings or events. The role will be hybrid working with no set days required in the office.


Essential experience of the Marketing Executive

 

  • Experienced in developing and implementing a unifying Social Value / Impact strategy.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience of social impact reporting.
  • Able to identify appropriate data sources, interpret the information and use it to translate analysis into meaningful recommendations and actions for internal and external audiences.
  • Experience of training delivery in the local community
  • Understanding of the UK Government’s Social Value model
