The role
As a Vehicle Fitter, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Joining a highly skilled team supporting customers including the police, fire, and ambulance service. 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be involved in the stripping and fitting process for a wide range of vehicles, from executive to light commercial, including brand new armoured vehicles.

 

  • Removing and replacing vehicle exterior panels
  • Stripping and refitting of entire vehicle
  • Cataloguing components so that they can be effectively reassembled
  • Replacing mechanical components E.g. Suspension / brakes
  • Removing and replacing OEM vehicle wiring harnesses

 

This role is full time, 40 hours per week, and is based at our Walsall BVE site.

 

Essential experience of the Vehicle Fitter

  • Removal and fitting of seats, panels, roof lining, door cards, interior trim, carpets, switch gear light clusters, bumpers.
  • Removal and refitting of automotive parts and components.
  • Complete minor mechanical tasks e.g.: Changing brake fluid.
  • Previously worked in an automotive environment


Qualifications for the Vehicle Fitter

  • NVQ level 2 Automotive (or proven automotive experience)


Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
