The role

As a Transport, Receipts and Issues Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Our site is responsible for converting and producing specialist vehicles, and you will manage and organise the drivers on site.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll manage operations for 4 drivers and 2-yard operatives, staffing, overtime, collection, delivery of vehicles, planned vehicle maintenance and manage driver availability.

 

  • Liaise with all departments for transport demands.
  • Interface with Production, Quality, Business Support and Key Account Managers to actively manage dispatch of vehicles and ensure relevant paperwork is complete.
  • Ensure drivers download driver’s card and download truck tachos. 
  • Ensure all vehicle movements are carried out maximising efficiencies.
  • Review and update the Training Register

 

This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Walsall.

 

Essential experience of the Transport, Receipts and Issues Supervisor 

  • Supervisory/management experience
  • Transport background 
  • FORS accreditation desirable
  • Knowledge of tachograph laws desirable 

 

Qualifications for the Transport, Receipts and Issues Supervisor 

  • UK Driving Licence 
  • CPC desirable 
  • HGV Licence desirable
