The role
As a Stores Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll ensure the production floor is supplied with the correct kit and equipment needed. 

 

Day to day, you’ll issue stores and equipment, ensure all store areas and equipment items are kept clean, tidy and in a serviceable condition and where applicable, ready for issue. 
 
•    Responsible for accurate execution of all stores tasks and to support the operation of Stores 
•    Issuing of parts from stores to Authorised personnel by approved methods in a timely safe and professional manner
•    The accurate and timely booking out of parts
•    Maintenance of the security of stores by ensuring that all gates remain locked and un-authorised persons within the stores area are challenged 
•    Referral of stock discrepancies and potential shortages to the Stores Manager and other relevant parties 
 
This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.


This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Walsall. Typically your hours of work will be 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Thursday and 8:00am – 2:00pm on Friday. Overtime is offered weekday mornings and occasionally Saturday. 
 
Essential experience of the Stores Operative:
•    Ability to manual handle safely
•    Warehouse experience, order, picking and stock control is desirable
•    Excellent attention to detail
•    Ability to develop and maintain good internal relationships
•    FLT (Forklift truck) experience
 
Qualifications for the Stores Operative:

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) andNon Police Personnel Vetting 2 (BPNPPV2)  security clearance for this role.
