The role
As an Environmental Advisor you’ll will play a vital role in ensuring the organisation is able to deliver both compliance and best practice and will support the sector to ensure that the Group strategies and Group Environmental Commitments are met and deliver key contractual environmental outputs.  

 

Day to day, you’ll:

  • Support with the delivery of Sector strategy and Group commitments.
  • Maintain the Environmental Legislation Register and regular legal updates.
  • Be the key point of contact for guidance to internal stakeholders on environmental requirements and best practice.
  • Support project teams to identify green project materials and better sustainable practices.
  • Manage the environmental performance of the supply chain, including undertaking supply chain audits and environmental performance reviews.
  • Maintain relationships with the supply chain through forums and events.

 

This role is full time, Monday to Friday and is based in Walsall with travels required to various locations.


Essential experience of the Environmental Advisor

  • Experience working in a similar role with a track record of positively impact business performance and/or operational role including technical experience 
  • Knowledge of Carbon data and Scope 3 carbon emissions 
  • Keep up to date with changes in environmental regulation and industry standard best practice.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office packages particularly Excel.

 

Qualifications for the Environmental Advisor

  • Degree Level (or equivalent) with experience in climate change / carbon management / data analytics or off-site support in construction, infrastructure, or consultancy sectors, or associated industries.


The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC checks security clearance for this role.
