In this role, you will:


  • Be responsible for the occupational Health & Safety of all direct reports under your supervision.
  • Provide technical guidance to a small team for the development and integration of installation design packages with a focus on electrical systems.
  • Lead the specification of electrical system design and testing in engineering design packages.
  • Develop your knowledge of submarine systems.
  • Be responsible for the development of drawing packages and installation specifications i.a.w contracted standards and internal quality requirements.
  • Develop solutions to technical problems.
  • Ensure consistent on-target delivery of work products.
  • Work collaboratively with other Engineering disciplines within the Marine Design and Drawing Office to develop cohesive specifications.
  • Conduct onsite inspections/surveys as necessary.
  • Maintain project documents as applicable.
  • Other duties as necessary.


As our ideal candidate,


  • You hold a minimum of a College Technologist Diploma in a relevant field and are eligible to be certified as a AScT by ASTTBC.
  • You have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in design and drawing (Marine Electrical Systems experience considered an asset).
  • You possess the aptitude to quickly and efficiently learn new tools, process and procedures.
  • You have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a role providing technical leadership and guidance to others.
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
