In this role, you will:

 

  • Be responsible for writing proposals which fully detail the scope, schedule, cost, and deliverables for projects, as requested by external and internal customers
  • Communicate and coordinate with suitably qualified internal and external stakeholders to elicit pertinent proposal elements
  • Support the development of cost plans for proposals by providing input for cost breakdown structures
  • Support Bid Managers and Project Managers to ensure that Babcock Canada submits compliant, and on-time proposals
  • Ensure that gated reviews are organized and carried out to enable final sign-off and acceptance of the proposal by key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with approved Babcock Canada processes and procedures relating to the development, review, and submission of proposals
  • Develop formal communications on behalf of Babcock Canada for submission to Customers, ensuring appropriate internal reviews have been conducted (as applicable)
  • Assist with the development and implementation of project initiatives in support of continuous improvement

 

As our ideal candidate:

 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an Engineering or Business discipline
  • You have at least four (4) years’ relevant experience in proposal/bid generation and/or contracts management
  • You have excellent communication skills, oral and written (English)
  • You have superior interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels, including internal and external stakeholders
  • You have exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • You currently hold, or are actively pursuing your Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI) or an equivalent certification through an appropriate professional body (an asset)
  • You preferably have experience in a submarine, shipyard, or shipbuilding environment
  • You are available for occasional travel, both locally and across Canada
  • You are eligible to obtain Canadian NATO Secret Security and Canadian Controlled Goods clearances
