In this role, you will:


  • Design and develop solutions with an electrical focus for the integration of new sub-systems as well as components into existing systems
  • Be responsible for the development of drawing packages and installation specifications in accordance with contracted standards and internal quality requirements
  • Undertake 2D and 3D drawing and modelling activities to support integration of Engineering Changes (ECs)
  • Define electrical aspects of Engineering Changes for Victoria Class Submarines by creating and modifying electrical systems, including power generation and distribution
  • Work closely with other Drawing Office disciplines to ensure coherency between deliverables
  • Ensure consistent on-target delivery of work products
  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure design for manufacture / installation
  • Maintain and prepare project documents as applicable
  • Conduct other duties as necessary


As our ideal candidate,


  • You hold a minimum of a College Technologist Diploma in a relevant field and are eligible to be certified as an AScT by ASTTBC
  • You have a minimum of 1 year of experience in Electrical Drawing and Design, (Co-Op placements considered)
  • You possess the ability and aptitude to problem solve technical issues
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • You have experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (knowledge in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is an asset)
  • You have experience in installation / integration design (an asset)
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
