Expected Salary: $60,868 to $87,921

In this role, you will:

  • Undertake the development of and updates to system documentation detailing the functional and non-functional aspects of various Victoria Class Submarine (VCS) combat sub-systems.
  • Assist in the design and integration of combat sub-systems within the Victoria Class Submarine.
  • Provide support to the System Engineer as directed and contribute to the successful delivery of combat system emergent work projects.
  • Interpret system architectures and provide input to system capability upgrade and integration opportunities.
  • Be safety conscious and gain knowledge of Submarine safety principles and general awareness training.
  • Apply knowledge of Defence Standards, Military Specifications and other relevant guiding principles in the design of submarine specific systems.
  • Apply knowledge of Victoria Class Submarine Combat Systems to deliver engineering sustainment work


The ideal candidate brings:

  • An ASTTBC accredited diploma in a relevant Electronics, Electrical, and/or Computer Technology discipline
  • You have a basic understanding of related electrical safety principles
  • Demonstrated pragmatic problem-solving skills
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills, including writing formal reports, and making presentations
  • You have effective computer skills including the MS Office suite
  • You have knowledge of the marine and military environment
  • You have experience or interest in working in an industrial environment
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
