In this role, you will:
- Integrate and test radio communications equipment.
- Work with secure and non-secure radio communications architectures.
- Integrate and Test TCP/IP physical networks (fiber and ethernet).
- Provide support to configuring, commissioning, and troubleshooting a Victoria Class Submarine communications system.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and reports.
- Work in a multidiscipline team to realise technical solutions to protect and enhance Victoria Class Submarine capability.
- Analyze the impact of changes to equipment on the architecture of the Victoria Class Submarine Communications system.
- Use requirements in the design and development of changes to the Victoria Class Submarine Communications System.
- Leverage experience to determine technical solutions to complex problems.
The ideal candidate brings:
- Strong technical skills including post-secondary education or apprenticeship in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Eligible for recognition as AScT, CTech, P.Eng., or EIT designation, as applicable, in British Columbia.
- 8+ years experience Integrating and testing radio communications equipment.
- 3+ years experience satisfying system requirements in the design and development of a system.
- Experience in secure and non-secure radio communications architectures.
- Experience with electro-magnetic security principles is an asset.
- Communications Control Room integrator and/or maintainer experience is an asset.

Experience in working effectively in a multidisciplne engineering and production environment is an asset.
- Knowledge on network topology and communication (Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent) is an asset.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
- Effective computer skills including the MS Office suite.
- Eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
- Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date.
