In this role, you will:


  • Focus on project delivery, utilizing skills and experience to coordinate and accelerate activities to meet or better the project cost and schedule targets
  • Provide technical guidance and manage a team of technical specialists working in direct support of the prime contractor’s team
  • Maintain active communications with the prime contractor’s technical staff, identifying issues and managing resolutions to completion
  • Deliver detailed status reporting on work completed, issues, resolutions and overall progress
  • Manage specific projects to cost, schedule and quality
  • Coordinates the supply of skills and resources through a multi-disciplinary matrix organization
  • Develop and actively manage project risks
  • Maintain the quality of the product delivered to our Customers
  • Complete other duties as necessary 


As our ideal candidate,


  • You have 10+ years’ of experience in a technical and/or quality assurance role in a ship construction or maintenance setting
  • You hold a minimum of a College Technologist Diploma in a relevant field and AScT designation
  • You have extensive relationship management experience with shipyards and design/build specialists
  • You possess the aptitude to quickly and efficiently learn new tools, process and procedures
  • You have 4 + years’ of demonstrated experience in managing technical teams, largely independently
  • You have experience in product lifecycle management and design toolsets such as ShipConstructor, AutoCad, ARAS, SDD, IFS or other (this is considered an asset)
  • You have strong MS Office skills
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
