About the role

 

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit an experienced Leisure, Retail or Hospitality Manager/Supervisor to join our Training Division as a Business Skills Trainer. We are a trusted name across the training and apprenticeships market and have an enviable track record in delivering intelligent and compelling workforce development solutions and are one of the UK’s largest and most reputable training providers.

 

You’ll be part of a large team of Apprenticeship Trainers and Assessors who provide training to numerous markets including Automotive, Warehousing, Facilities Management, Hospitality and Retail. Within Retail, we offer Apprenticeship Programmes for merchandising, dealing with customers to sales processing and stock control. For those with leadership flair, apprenticeships are also a great route for career development, including early progression into management.

 

Using your experience within any management environment and at a Supervisory level, you will train and support learners who are on a 12 - 16 month Apprenticeship Programme for Business Skills qualifications.

 

You will visit the learners in the Norfolk/Suffolk regions at their workplace and deliver teaching, learning and assessment towards their Apprenticeship, including functional skills qualifications (Maths and English). You will maintain documentation within the e-portfolio system, identify and engage with potential employers and learners and build on existing client relationships. 

 

As well as being part of a business that support over 14,000 apprentices, we’ll also provide you with all the training that you need to become a fully qualified Apprentice Trainer and Assessor.  

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

You’ll need to be experienced within a Retail / Hospitality or Leisure environment at Management/Supervisory level and have a keen interest in supporting people through their Apprenticeship.

 

We would also like you to have the following:

 

  • GCSE A-C in Maths & English or equivalent
  • Excellent organisational skills and a professional demeanour
  • Have a valid driving licence and your own car
  • Proven managerial experience

 

What else do I need to know?

 

  • Salary is £26,010, increasing upon passing probation (6 months)
  • Travel expenses are covered. 
  • Company car provided after 18 months
  • Excellent benefits.
  • Permanent position, 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
